Using Fluoropolymer for coating
Perhaps the best-known of the fluorocarbons is PTFE which, typically, has a very low co-efficient of friction, combined with excellent lubricity. It is non-stick, virtually chemically inert and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures.
Many of the other fluoropolymers which have been developed are generally classed as thermoplastic; PFA and FEP are typical examples.
Why use Fluoroploymer Coatings?
With correct application and curing techniques, fluoropolymer coatings can provide pore-free chemically resistant surfaces.
