ARMOURCOTE 1060

Is a combination coating of a flame sprayed stainless steel matrix and a top coat of PTFE which is impregnated into the matrix.

The combination offers excellent non-stick combined with a low friction characteristics thus providing an easy clean surface. The coating also exhibits outstanding abrasion resistance due to the stainless steel reinforcement. Any loading or abrasion is absorbed by the peaks of the metal matrix and combined with the smearing effects of the PTFE offers these outstanding characteristics.

Throughout the life of the coating as wear slowly takes place more of the stainless peaks will be exposed in turn with more valleys of PTFE, thus offering the same performance of the coating throughout.

The modification to the coating allows for a slightly smoother surface finish with added PTFE giving superior release and low friction whilst still retaining all the above properties.

Typical applications would be areas of fairly high abrasion, where a high degree of non-stick is required and also a good release easy clean surface.
